I graduated from Istanbul Technical University in 2022 where I completed my BSc in the department of Molecular Biology & Genetics. My undergraduate thesis was focused on investigating the effect of meteorin over-expression on the viability of glioblastoma cells. After my Bachelorβs, I started my Masterβs in Koc University (Turkey) department of Molecular Biology & Genetics. I completed my MSc in Cytoskeleton Research Lab under the supervision of Elif Nur First Karalar, where I investigated the role of centriolar satellites in cell division, ciliogenesis, and ciliary signaling using inducible genetic tools. I graduated from MSc in 2025 and decided to keep working on cytoskeleton related structures, especially cilia. β¨β¨Later in 2025, I moved to the Netherlands and I started my PhD in Molecular Biology of Ciliopathies Lab under the supervision of Ronald Roepman and Mariam Aslanyan. I will be investigating the role of nephronophthisis complex in the ciliary transition zone using affinity purification, proximity labeling, optoproteomics, and expansion microscopy. My project is a part of the MSCA Doctoral Network Cilia-AI.
